Fleetwood's seafront is an integral part of the town's long standing attraction to visitors. In recent years it has undergone a much welcome and much needed development reflecting and celebrating its heritage as Britain's premier west coast fishing port.

The Ferry Service to Knott End across the River Wyre is an ever popular attraction

The Memorial to Fleetwood Fisherman is dedicated to all those who lost their lives fishing.

The Welcome Home statue celebrates 'the heroic lives of Fleetwood's fishermen and their families'.

The bronze lifesize statues of a mother, daughter and their dog are the work of the sculptor Anita Lafford. Sponsorship was provided by Fisherman's Friend and Wyre Borough Council.

'Lifeboat Weekend' features many actvities, including a sail past of trawlers and yachts, and the 'Wreck Trek' along Wyre Channel to Wyre Light Lighthouse at the edge of the North Wharf sandbank.
